The Melton Town Centre Revitalisation Plan has been nominated in the Strategic Planning Category in the Planning Institute of Australia Victoria 2024 awards. This project represents a wonderful 3-year collaboration between Melton City Council, UrbanFold and Echelon Planning.
This is a pretty special project to us as it articulates a bold new vision for Melton Town Centre, one of the only remaining traditional high streets in Melbourne’s outer west. Its focus was to restore the town centre's prosperity and vibrancy, with an emphasis on mixed use housing and place-based design.
We commend Melton City Council for its ambition to breathe new life into this once bustling Town Centre and thank the Office for Suburban Development for their co-support of the project.
We also thank our excellent team of consultants - Institute for Sensible Transport, Urban Enterprise and Kate Kerkin - who contributed so much to the project.
The Melton Town Centre Revitalisation Plan’s nomination in the PIA Victoria Awards highlights the significance of structured planning and efficient execution in urban development. Just like a well-managed project, city planning requires seamless coordination, resource allocation, and stakeholder engagement. In the IT industry, managing complex projects demands similar precision, making the right tools essential for success. Leveraging the best IT project management software ensures streamlined workflows, real-time collaboration, and effective risk management, leading to more efficient project delivery.
