Keaton is an experienced urban planner who joined Echelon Planning in September 2024. Keaton has previously worked in the public sector as a statutory planner, managing planning applications, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with planning objectives to facilitate planning outcomes. His experience spans various development types, including multi‑unit residential developments and subdivisions, and with a particular specialisation in commercial and industrial proposals.

 

His professional experience is complemented by a positive attitude, excellent communication skills and strong problem-solving abilities. He excels in developing stakeholder networks and conveying complex planning concepts. He has also appeared before the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), showcasing his ability to represent clients.

 

Keaton has had previous roles in economic and financial analysis, which provides him with a unique perspective, combining urban planning expertise with financial acumen. This diverse skill set allows him to approach planning projects holistically, considering both urban development aspects and economic implications. His ability to navigate the complex planning controls, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and provide insightful economic analysis makes Keaton a versatile and valuable member of the Echelon Planning team.
